Tamil Nadu Vs Karnataka, Match Preview
Tamil Nadu are into their third Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy Final and will be facing the side they lost to in 2019. The defeat in 2019 was a heartbreaking one. It is a high-profile game with the likes of Ravichandran Ashwin and KL Rahul in their respective sides.
Since then, a handful of players from both teams have gone on to secure some nice IPL contracts, and both teams are building up nicely. An interesting factor here is neither side have players who are statistically going well. Barring Manish Pandey, who is 9th, no player from both sides are in the leading run scorers list. The same goes in the bowling column. Both sides don’t have a single player in the top ten wicket-takers list.
Tamil Nadu Vs Karnataka, Team News

Tamil Nadu Vs Karnataka, Players to Watch out for
Sai Kishore
Last season Sai Kishore excelled when given the new ball. He took up Ashwin’s role of bowling early and making an early impact with tight lines, and economic spells. This season he is starting to excel in another role. He is now used through the innings, and has also bowled in the death with a lot of success. His bowling has shown a lot of growth and a good spell in the final could help him heavily ahead of the IPL Mega Auctions.
Manish Pandey
Manish Pandey is doing a good job as skipper of his state side. He is consistent at the top, and is ensuring Karnataka get off to solid starts each game. Given it is a final, another strong start could deflate his opponents instantly, and Karnataka will hope he gets off to a flier soon.
Tamil Nadu Vs Karnataka, Pitch Report
The Delhi surface is normally a touch hard, and can be balanced for both sides. There will be spin as the day goes on. Since it is a day game, dew won’t be a factor. Batting first will be better, given it is a final and there will be extra pressure on the sides.
