South Africa Vs Bangladesh, Match Preview

Bangladesh is virtually out of the tournament, and have endured a campaign full of defeats and injuries. They lose Shakib Al Hasan, and with two games left they only have their pride to play for. Shakib held Bangladesh together through the tournament, contributing nicely, but a hamstring injury leaves him out now.

South Africa have some injury concerns of their own. Tabraiz Shamsi has a groin niggle, and David Miller won the game for South Africa, against Sri Lanka, with a hamstring injury. The knock from Miller though, is key as it reminds people of his presence in the side.

Throughout the tournament, South Africa has found some nice contributors. Rassie Van Der Dussen, and Aiden Markram are steady with the bat, and Dwaine Pretorious has done a good job bowling in the death. Kagiso Rabada’s big hits against Sri Lanka also came as a surprise.

Bangladesh hasn’t had too many contributors this year, but will rely heavily on their experienced pair to salvage some pride.

South Africa Vs Bangladesh, Team News

Shamim Hossain is the likely replacement for Shakib Al Hasan in the eleven. Barring the one change, Bangladesh will play the same side in the next fixture.

Shamsi and Miller are uncertain, but if they are fit South Africa could go in unchanged.

South Africa Vs Bangladesh, Players to Watch out for

David Miller

David Miller has been apart of the South African set up for a long time. His contributions though are often forgotten. The knock against Sri Lanka though has reminded everyone of his worth. Him along with Quinton De Kock, are senior players in the side, and the innings will definitely frighten other sides.

Shoriful Islam

Islam is one of the bright spots for Bangladesh in a tough campaign. He is bowling well in the death, and is handy with his change of pace. His development helps the pace attack look stronger, and he give Bangladesh hope for the future.

South Africa Vs Bangladesh, Pitch Report

As it is an afternoon game dew won’t be a factor. Batting second is still a better option. The pitch is slow early on, and knowing the target will make it easier for sides.
