Guyana Amazon Warriors Vs Trinbago Knight Riders, Match Preview
The Trinbago Knight Riders are the defending champions and went unbeaten in the previous season. Despite them out of the world performance last season, they have not been able to find their feet in the ongoing season. They are third with two wins in four games, and are still not firing to their full potential. It is worth noting that the Knight Riders have lost some crucial players like Dwayne Bravo from last season, but the quality is still pretty good with the side.
The Guyana Amazon Warriors are not far behind the Trinbago Knight Riders. They have equally struggled throughout the season with only one win. The win came in a close game against the Knight Riders in the season opener. Their batting hasn’t been up to the mark with a lot of changes in their line-up while their bowling has done a fair job.
Mohammad Hafeez in particular has done a great job in both aspects and has received support from the likes of Imran Tahir. For Trinbago, the runs haven’t come as easily but there have been some nice individual performances. Isuru Udana, Sunil Narine and Kieron Pollard have all made contributions and there is scope for improvement going forward
Guyana Amazon Warriors Vs Trinbago Knight Riders, Team News
The Guyana Amazon Warriors have experimented with their batting line-up pushing Mohammad Hafeez up the order. He did a good job at the top with a score of 70, and might stay there. Barring the batting line-up, the Warriors may not make too many changes to their squad.
The form of Lendl Simmons may come as a concern for the Trinbago Knight Riders. With experience on his side, the opener may get another go but time may be running out for him.

Guyana Amazon Warriors Vs Trinbago Knight Riders, Players to Watch out for
Lendl Simmons
Lendl Simmons has been off color in the ongoing season with a highest score of 25. His strike-rate hasn’t been great and he will be hoping to make amends. With the T20 World Cup in the horizon, and with Simmons playing a crucial role in the semi-finals of the last edition, the opener will be hoping to make the squad with some strong performances. He still has a lot of time left and a lot of talent to turn this season around. With the sides struggling to get good starts, his role is crucial for the Trinbago Knight Riders.
Mohammad Hafeez
Mohammad Hafeez has transformed himself into a wonderful T20 batter at the age of 41 and is doing well at any position. He started in the middle-order and made a handy 38 in one game, and opened the next to make 70. He is demonstrating his flexibility and aggressive batting nicely and is at his best with the bat. His bowling has also come in handy with the all-rounder providing crucial overs in each game.
Guyana Amazon Warriors Vs Trinbago Knight Riders, Pitch and Conditions
The pitches were expected to provide runs but they have been a touch slow this season. The spinners have had some purchase and the batters have found it tough to get going. With spinners doing well, batting first may be a better option especially with sides that can use spin to choke opponents.
