Pitch report

The wicket has some turn for spinners, but the faster bowlers can also benefit from the pitch’s favorable overhead circumstances. A great batting wicket, it has strong pace but little bounce.

Weather Report

The weather forecast calls for similar circumstances on Thursday afternoon after rain on Monday caused the first half of the game to be postponed. By early evening, the humidity is predicted to be close to 100%, and rain is forecast for the afternoon.

Squad Comparison for Bangladesh vs Ireland

Bangladesh

The Bangladeshi batsmen have put on a brilliant performance, with all of their top and middle-order players scoring runs at will, as the ODI World Cup preparations are in full gear. As a consequence, the hosts have thus far scored 300 or more runs in both ODIs.

Litton Das and Najmul Hossain Shanto carefully built a partnership while batting, scoring 101 runs for the third wicket after losing captain Iqbal in the 10th over. They both got out in their 70s, so it was a little unfortunate that they missed out on well-deserved hundreds.

In this series’ opening ODI, Towhid Hridoy, who is making his ODI debut, was once again in superb form as he made 49 runs off 34 deliveries. However, Mushfiqur Rahim was the star of the show as his scorching century propelled Bangladesh to their highest-ever ODI total. Rahim scored his 100th run in just 60 balls, which is the quickest century by a Bangladeshi batter in an ODI.

In the bowling area as well, the hosts are very potent. Ebadot Hossain, who rattled the Ireland batsmen with 4 wickets in the first game, will be aiming for a repeat effort in this one. Along with Mustafizur Rahman, Taskin Ahmed is anticipated to open with the new ball, with Shakib Al-Hasan and Nasum Ahmed likely to play significant roles in the middle overs.

Bangladesh Playing XI

Tamim Iqbal (c), Litton Das, Najmul Hossain Shanto, Shakib Al Hasan, Towhid Hridoy, Mushfiqur Rahim (wk), Yasir Ali, Taskin Ahmed, Ebadot Hossain, Nasum Ahmed, Hasan Mahmud

Ireland

The fans had anticipated that Ireland would perform well in the ODI series after the team defeated the Bangladesh Board XI in a practice match at the beginning of their tour. The guests have, however, been under pressure ever since the first episode of the series.

The spinners will be under pressure because they have already given up more than 300 runs in both games. Graham Hume, who had four wickets in the first game, finished with three in this one, making him the top wicket-taker once more. But he will need to be a little bit more strict with the line and length, as well as fellow seamers Curtis Campher and Mark Adair.

In the first two games, the bowlers have bowled a total of 18, which is unacceptable at this stage of the tournament. The spinners Harry Tector, Andy McBrine, and Matthew Humphreys have also had trouble controlling the Bangladesh batters. The squad will rely on Paul Stirling and Stephen Doheny to get them off to a strong start in this situation. The middle-order batters, including Andrew Balbirnie (the captain), Lorcan Tucker, and Gareth Delany, haven’t been playing at their best lately.

In the first game, George Dockrell launched a late assault on Bangladesh’s bowlers, and he’ll be looking to perform a similar inning here.

Bangladesh vs Ireland Match Prediction

Bangladesh enters this final game still needing to avoid defeat in order to win the series, despite the fact that they have totally outperformed Ireland in this ODI series thus far. Over the past 20 years, Ireland has pulled off a number of noteworthy international wins, but we do not expect that to happen in this ODI. Our opinion is that Bangladesh will be too powerful both with the bat and the ball and will easily win this match.
